Art in the Alley

Art in the Alley.jpg

Art in the Alley is an outdoor exhibition with reproductions of Brighton Art Guild Members art work.  Pieces are printed and mounted on weatherproof backing.

Suitable for both indoor and outdoor installations.

Art in the Alley pieces are selected by a member committee, with consideration given to past Guild exhibitions such as Kaleidoscope, as well as work submitted on the Art in Public Places Image Submission page

The purpose of Art in the Alley is to get exposure for our members art and as a fundraiser for the guild. The Guild has the member's art is printed on an aluminum composite by a local vendor.

The Brighton Art Guild handles all aspects of the printing of the images and covers all the cost. There is a committee that handles the put-up and take-down of the art.

The art is usually changed in the spring and fall.

To be considered for the alley, members submit a high resolution image of their work that is juried by a committee.

The guild has a user agreement with the artist that states that the artist will be paid a one time usage fee of $50 for the use of their image. That usage agreement only applies to the art that is printed and hung in the alley. If the artist agrees and signs the usage agreement their artwork is then printed and installed. The $50 usage fee is paid regardless if the print sells or not.

All the art in the alley is for sale to the public. When a piece sells the Brighton Art Guild keeps any profits from the sale.
